A Water’s Edge of Bradenton senior living villa

Bradenton, Florida – National Church Residences acquired 92 Villas adjacent to the Water’s Edge of Bradenton campus, expanding the organization’s ownership and operations at the retirement community. The organization has owned and operated 108 independent living and assisted living senior apartments at this campus since a merger in 2014. An expansion in 2016 added 60 new assisted living and 20 secure memory care apartments. The Villas are age-restricted (55 and older), independent living, free-standing condos.

A gated community for seniors, Water’s Edge of Bradenton’s beautifully landscaped campus includes a Town Center with an outdoor heated pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, in addition to a library and movie theater. Residential health care, on-site restaurant-style dining, transportation services and walking paths are among other amenities. The community also has a full-time chaplain who provides spiritual, social and emotional support to residents of all beliefs. These services and amenities paired with care services and options make Waters Edge of Bradenton a magnificent gulf coast senior living community.

“We are pleased to grow our presence in Bradenton and officially welcome Villa residents to the National Church Residences family with the acquisition of these villas,” said Doug Himes, vice president of senior living. “Villa residents already had enjoyed access to the community’s Town Center under our ownership. Additionally, we are committed to maintaining the exceptional quality of life that current Villa residents expect and have experienced at Water’s Edge of Bradenton.”

Seniors will find many opportunities for an active lifestyle with engaging activities on the 37-acre campus that can be customized for each resident’s lifestyle and needs.

“The decision to sell our Villas to National Church Residences was an easy one,” said Anna Scheetz, vice president of asset management for Wildamere Properties LLC, owners of the 32 Villas since their opening in 2005. “We are confident that the acquisition by National Church Residences will only help to enhance the community.”

National Church Residences operates 14 communities in Florida. The acquisition of Water’s Edge of Bradenton Villas expands the organization’s state-wide units of senior housing to more than 1,350.
