Our Traditions

With more than 50 years of experience, First Community Village is proud to put residents first. Our traditional strengths have made us one of the most desirable full-service retirement communities in Columbus.

In 1961, Dr. Roy Burkhart, senior minister at First Community Church, envisioned a retirement community for Upper Arlington, “a place to live in security with little worry, and with the upholding of many.” And since 1963, we have turned tradition and hometown pride into a great way to embrace the future while helping seniors from all over the state and beyond.
