Welcome to the Mission Day 2020…an annual celebration of why We Live Our Mission!

This year we are changing things up a bit. As we slowly begin to return to a “new normal,” we realize that Mission Day will look very different this year.

Social distancing and COVID-19 prevention protocols require us to rethink how we look at Mission Day 2020, which means putting our best thinking forward taking this event to a whole new level of creativity.

Living our Mission does make a difference!

You know the needs of your residents and community better than anyone. By hosting a virtual Mission Day event, funds raised will directly benefit your residents.

It is the Foundation’s sincere hope that your community will join the celebration by hosting its very own Mission Day fundraising event. We are encouraging ALL sites to identify property/residents need and then engage staff, residents and the greater community in fundraising. Don’t forget to set a fundraising goal and keep working toward it!

This is a great opportunity to tap your local vendors for sponsorships of your virtual celebrations.

Virtual events can be held anytime throughout the calendar year.

Last year, over 65 properties participated in Mission Day celebrations across the nation, collectively raising more than $25,000 directly impacting those we serve. Living our Mission does make a difference!

It is on this page that you will be able to access a Mission Day Tool Kit, register your Mission Day Fundraising Event, upload photos and videos of your event, as well as keep the Foundation team up-to-date on your Mission Day progress and success.

Other Ways To Raise Funds For Your Community

Don’t forget about crowdfunding. This is going to be the best way for your community to raise funds, virtually. Creating your own crowdfunding page is easy. Just go to https://mission-day-national-church-residences-2020.everydayhero.do/ and click on “Start Fundraising.” Don’t forget to share your pages on social media and via email to drive traffic to your page to generate donations and interest. Encourage friends and family to create their own crowdfunding page (from your page) to share with THEIR contacts to support your property. These pages will allow you to raise funds before, during and long after Mission Day is over!

Employee Giving

Payroll deductions are by far the easiest way to support our Mission. By donating as little as $1 per pay, your payroll deduction (that can be designated to your property or division) will ensure that funds are being raised specifically for your community all year long. Attached is a blank payroll deduction form – please make copies for your staff. You can also find the form on Cornerstone HERE. Already participate? Thank You!!

Payroll deduction not really your thing? No problem! You can always make periodic designated donations to your property or division on your own timeline. You can also specify these donations to be in honor or memory of someone you love. Keep in mind, cumulative giving of $1,000 or more during any fiscal year qualifies you for membership in our prestigious Cornerstone Society.
