ROUND ROCK, Texas – Major renovations at Trinity Place are preserving affordable senior housing in Round Rock, Texas. Completed earlier this month, the $3.6 million renovation provides the senior residents with numerous improved amenities in their apartments and community spaces.

Built in 1985 and acquired by National Church Residences in April 2019, the purchase was financed in part with a new HUD 223(f) loan. Trinity Place features 68 apartments for residents who are age 62 and older and/or disabled. The community is located at 1203 Cushing Drive in Round Rock.

“We’re pleased to be improving and preserving affordable senior housing in this community,” said Director of Housing Development, Tracey Fine. “National Church Residences is committed to helping seniors remain at home for life. The renovations at Trinity Place make it easier for seniors to continue to live in the community where they worked, raised a family, have friends and built many personal relationships.”

Major upgrades to each of the studio and one-bedroom apartments included updated kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances; refreshed bathrooms; new windows, lighting and flooring throughout; and the addition of ceiling fans in all unit bedrooms. The community room also received a makeover with an updated kitchen and amenities for meetings and social gatherings, as well as a new concrete patio addition.

Construction services were provided by Peterson Construction out of Dallas, with Alamo Architects providing architectural services.

National Church Residences operates 32 communities in Texas, providing 1,997 apartments of affordable housing to seniors across the state.
