Successful VIDA FEST! Raises Nearly $20,000 to Benefit San Antonio Residents

National Church Residences Foundation is thrilled to announce the success of the 21st annual VIDA FEST celebration, held on April 23, 2024, in San Antonio. The event, which brought together nearly 700 attendees, raised nearly $20,000 to benefit older adult residents living in National Church Residences’ local communities.

Since its inception, VIDA FEST has been a cornerstone of the organization’s commitment to celebrating the vibrant culture and cherished residents of its San Antonio communities. This year’s event was no exception, featuring a delightful array of activities, including a parade, delicious food and drinks, games, live entertainment, community leaders, VIP guests like Raulito Navaira, Miss Teen San Antonio USA, The Soul Queen of Fiesta, Constable Leticia Vasquez Sanchez and emceed by Yvette Tello, executive director of La Prensa.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming success of this year’s VIDA FEST,” said Christina Sanchez, who serves as vice president of affordable housing for National Church Residences in Texas. “The outpouring of support from our sponsors, partners and community members has been truly heartwarming. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to raise thousands of dollars to benefit our residents in San Antonio and provide residents, community members, volunteers and sponsors with a day of fun and celebration, free of charge.”

The funds raised through VIDA FEST will go directly toward supporting the needs of residents in the organization’s San Antonio communities, ensuring they have access to quality housing, health care services as well as essential resources for a well engaged and healthy community.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of VIDA FEST,” added Lianna McNeil, regional director of philanthropy and public relations “Your support has made a meaningful difference in the lives of the older and disabled adults we serve at National Church Residences, and we are truly thankful for your generosity.”

VIDA FEST was hosted by National Church Residences and included several generous partners and sponsors including Coats | Rose, who served as the top sponsor at the Sterling level. Gold sponsors included: Alegre Home Health, Legacy Home Health, All County Home Health and Hospice, Medicare Marketplace, Coastal Home Health Care, WellMed, Conviva Care Centers and Wellpoint. Silver sponsors included: Bravo Homecare, Casa Linda Homecare, Saint Benedict’s Home Health, Devoted Health Plans, ProjectMend, Scan Health Plan and Wellcare. Several more organizations and over 100 volunteers committed their time, energy and resources to make this event a success.
