Southeast Michigan Mission Day Set for August 18

National Church Residences will host its first Mission Day in the Detroit area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, August 18.

Mission Day celebrates the organization’s efforts to achieve its mission to provide high quality care, services and residential communities for seniors.

The Southeastern Michigan Mission Day will allow National Church Residences to further reach residents within the community. “Michigan is one of our priority markets so it is important to us to heighten the importance of philanthropy and partner with other businesses in the area,” said Stacey Kyser, senior director of philanthropy.

National Church Residences has 12 facilities in Southeastern Mission.  Nine events, including speeches Michigan’s public official, a carnival, a block parade, a parade and live music, will be held on Mission Day:

Canton Place– 44505 Ford Rd, Canton, MI 48187.  Community Safety Events at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Resident Lunch

Clark East Tower– 550 E Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.  Pet Wellness Clinic at 10:30 a.m.

Clinton Place– 147 N River Ct, Mt Clemens, MI 48043.  Carnival from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Columbia Court– 275 W Columbia Ave, Belleville, MI 48111. Family Festival from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lakeside Towers & Lakeside Villa – 15000 &15150 Shoreline Drive, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. Health Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with resident lunch.

Madison Manor, Madison Tower and Solberg Tower – 27777. 27787 & 27795 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Parade at 10:30 a.m., Carnival from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Park Place of Harper Woods– 19460 Park Drive, Harper Woods, MI 48225. Health Fair at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. with a band from noon to 2:30 p.m.

Romulus Tower– 36500 Bibbins St, Romulus, MI 48174. Program at 9:30 a.m. Health and Wellness Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wayne Tower– 35200 Sims St, Wayne, MI 48184. Block party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with resident lunch
