COLUMBUS, Ohio – National Church Residences is pleased to announce the promotions of Susan DiMickele and Julie Woolley into new and significant leadership roles.
Susan DiMickele has been named senior vice president of Senior Services and Senior Living. DiMickele has served as general counsel for six years and as senior vice president of Senior Services and Innovation for the past two years. Under her leadership, the organization has seen excellent customer satisfaction and employee engagement ratings for hospice, home health, home assistance, adult day care and other key service areas.
Prior to joining National Church Residences, DiMickele was a partner with the Squire Patton Boggs law firm where she co-led the global Labor and Employment Practice Group. At Squire she worked for 20 years as a trial lawyer with extensive experience in employment law. DiMickele is a published author, active leader in women’s business and faith organizations and was formerly a member of the board of directors for National Church Residences.
Julie Woolley has been named vice president and general counsel, including roles as National Church Residences’ chief compliance officer and HIPAA privacy officer. Woolley has served as associate general counsel since January 2017 and was promoted to vice president in January 2021, leading the legal services team, the corporate records department and the organization’s COVID-19 task force.
Prior to working at National Church Residences, Woolley spent nearly a decade with the Baker Hostetler law firm’s Columbus office. While at Baker Hostetler, she focused her practice on transactional business law for both public and privately held companies. Woolley also served as transactions counsel in the Office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine (now Ohio’s governor), where she worked on structuring complex public-private partnership transactions and served as the primary editor of the Attorney General’s Economic Development Manual that was published in 2015.
“We appreciate the vision and leadership that Susan and Julie bring to our mission,” said Mark Ricketts, president and CEO of National Church Residences. “We are delighted when we can promote people from within who deserve such recognition and opportunities. Both Susan and Julie have embraced our commitment to servant leadership through listening to, connecting with, investing in and inspiring our teams – all to better care for the seniors that we serve.”
