National Church Residences Expansion in Southeast Georgia

PEMBROKE, Georgia – National Church Residences has expanded its affordable senior housing in southeast Georgia with the acquisition of McFadden Place in Pembroke. The organization purchased the property on August 24, 2021, from Mercy Housing, a respected peer and co-member in Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future. Built in 2004 as a HUD PRAC 202 development, McFadden Place is subsidized and provides rental assistance for low-income seniors.

“We’re excited to welcome McFadden Place to the National Church Residences family,” said Director of Senior Housing Acquisitions, Daniel Patrick. “Located less than a mile from our newly constructed Ash Branch Manor community, the acquisition builds on our momentum in the Savannah area.”

With 30 units, McFadden Place serves seniors age 62 and older, offering one-bedroom apartment homes. Amenities include a community room, recreational facilities and service coordination, which assists residents with medical needs and connects them to community services available in the area. McFadden Place is located at 80 McFadden Drive, with nearby shopping, a post office and a senior citizens center.

“McFadden Place was Mercy Housing’s only property in Pembroke, and we know that National
Church Residences will be an ideal owner and manager of this senior facility,” said Director of Transactions for National Portfolio Management at Mercy Housing, Bruce Saab. “Both the
residents and community are in good hands with this change.”

National Church Residences operates 1,612 apartments spread across 13 senior communities from Savannah to Atlanta.
