NEW PORT RICHEY, FL (October 20, 2025) — The City of New Port Richey came together on Wednesday, October 15, for a heartfelt celebration at The Landings of St. Andrew, where Mayor Chopper Davis honored longtime volunteer Grace Sepulveda with an official Proclamation of the City recognizing her decade of dedicated service to the community.
The event, a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, celebrated the tireless efforts of the many volunteers who support the community food pantry — a program lovingly led for the past ten years by Sepulveda, an 83-year-old resident whose compassion has nourished both bodies and spirits throughout New Port Richey.
In a surprise tribute, Mayor Davis attended the luncheon to personally present Sepulveda with the proclamation, applauding her extraordinary contributions and the lasting impact she has made on the lives of residents across the city.
“Grace has built something far greater than a food pantry, she’s built a community of care,” said Cynthia Williams, Property Manager. “For years, she has made sure no one goes without a meal or a kind word. Seeing her recognized by the City is truly special because she deserves every bit of it.”
Grace’s story began with a simple act of generosity: sharing food from her own pantry with a neighbor in need. That small gesture blossomed into a thriving community initiative that has since become a lifeline for hundreds of residents at The Landings of St. Andrew and across nine other properties in Pasco County. Her efforts helped feed families through challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Helene, inspiring compassion, unity, and resilience throughout the community.
The luncheon also served as a celebration of the many volunteers and residents whose dedication has helped sustain and expand Sepulveda’s mission of service.
Attendees included:
- Grace Sepulveda, Honoree
- Mayor Chopper Davis, City of New Port Richey
- Representatives from the City of New Port Richey
- Cynthia Williams, Property Manager
- Volunteers and residents of The Landings of St. Andrew
