We should all steer clear of crowds and stay home when possible. But what can you do to stay safe if you have to run to the grocery or pharmacy? Protect yourself and others with these tips.

  1. Don a face covering. By covering your nose and mouth, you are not only protecting yourself but those around you. If you don’t have a mask, learn how to make your own from household items.
  2. Stay at least six feet apart – Social distancing is one simple, yet important, thing we can do to fight COVID-19. Restricting close contact with others will help keep the virus at bay.
  3. Remove and disinfect your shoes before entering your home. Germs can be transferred from all surfaces, including the ground.
  4. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. After you return home and after you touch anything purchased, it’s important to wash your hands with soap and water. Pass the time by singing some classic hits.
