Rooted in Christian Faith, Serving with Compassion

National Church Residences was formed with a vision shared by four Presbyterian churches and a courageous pastor who felt called to care for older adults as an expression of Christ’s love. What began as Ohio Church Residences — with a simple yet profound purpose to provide accommodations, facilities, and care for seniors has grown into a mission that continues to guide us today.

Grounded in Christian faith and the belief that every person is created in God’s image, we recognize the sacredness of each life we touch. Our commitment is to care for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit through compassionate service and a strong spiritual foundation.

Our chaplains embody this mission every day. More than offering religious services, they provide encouragement, prayer, and support through every season of life. Across the country, chaplains walk alongside residents to offer comfort in difficult times, spiritual guidance, and a compassionate presence that strengthens faith and fosters peace of mind. Through this ministry of presence, our chaplains share God’s love in tangible ways, ensuring that every individual experiences dignity, hope, and peace regardless of the individual’s personal beliefs.

Faith In Action

Trained chaplains provide compassionate spiritual care grounded in our Christian faith and mission of service. They support residents and patients in drawing strength from their own faith traditions to foster connection, belonging, and hope. Whether facing life’s challenges, seeking guidance, or simply desiring peace, our chaplains walk alongside each individual offering prayer, encouragement, and a caring presence.

As the Book of James reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” — James 2:17

Our chaplains embody this truth each day living out genuine faith through compassionate service, heartfelt listening, and acts of care that bring comfort and community to all.
