Tim Doney has been in-house counsel for Worthington Industries since 1998. Before joining Worthington, he was a partner with the law firm of Benesch Friedlander, and prior to that practiced with Arter & Hadden and Porter, Wright Morris & Arthur. He was also General Counsel for 5B's Inc., a 1200 employee privately-held corporation in Zanesville, Ohio. His practice areas include corporate, banking, compliance, litigation, health care, municipal bonds, construction, acquisitions and employment law.
Doney earned his Juris Doctor and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He currently serves as a Director on the Board of a subsidiary of Worthington Industries and is the Vice President, President-Elect and Board member of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is a member of the Westerville Rotary Club, the St. Paul Knights of Columbus and was a long-time Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boys Scouts of America, with three sons all of whom attained the Rank of Eagle Scout.
