The Ohio Housing Finance Agency has awarded Low Income Housing Tax Credits to help fund the construction of a new affordable senior community in Youngstown, OH
National Church Residences is working closely with Ohio Living to build the 60-unit apartment complex for seniors ages 55 and older near the campus of Ohio Living Park Vista. The $6 million project will consist of mostly one-bedroom units, with some two-bedrooms.
National Church Residences will develop, operate and manage the building while Ohio Living will provide services such as skilled nursing, education and wellness programs. In addition to bordering Ohio Living Park Vista, the community also is near St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Youngstown State University.
Broadway Park is a key component of the Youngstown 2010 Comprehensive Plan and the Arlington Heights Acquisition Strategy revitalization plan. The project redevelops vacant and underused land into new affordable housing units for Youngstown’s growing senior population. Construction is expected to begin in 2018.
