Resident Emergency Fund

Our mission has always been to provide high quality care, services and residential communities for all seniors.

By giving to the Resident Emergency Fund, you support residents experiencing a natural disaster or an unfortunate building-wide catastrophe. You make sure that our residents have what they need when faced with an unexpected emergency.

Your gift to the Resident Emergency Fund can be life sustaining and reassuring during times of an overwhelming and unexpected occurrence. Assistance with prepared meals, emergency grocery provisions and medical supplies are just some of the items that can be provided with your donation.

When Category 4 Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana in late August, it was at its peak. The storm caused catastrophic flooding, wind damage, and power outages. Ten National Church Residences apartment communities were impacted and hundreds of our seniors were temporarily displaced. “The hurricane hit at the end of the month when most of our residents have very little money left,” said Patricia Craine, Regional Leader. Because of the Resident Emergency Fund, food and water was able to be bused in by volunteers, and we were able to provide gift cards to each of the Louisiana residents to help them replenish things they lost, refill their pantries, and purchase day-to day items. “I felt like Santa Claus as I passed out the cards. Being able to see residents smile with such excitement about their gift card was huge!” said Patricia.

Thank you for your support.
