November 30

  • Winter Haven Tree Lighting Ceremony – In addition to lighting the Christmas tree, this event will also feature free crafts and hot chocolate for the first 100 guests.

  • Lights of Lakeland – Featuring over 500,000 Christmas lights, this walk-through experience is free and for the entire family.

  • Mulberry Civic Center Tree Lighting – This Friday night lighting ceremony will also feature various choir ensembles from local elementary schools.

  • A Christmas Story: The Musical – Opening on the 1st, this musical runs until the 10th of December and is based on the classic 1983 movie.

  • Polk County Christmas Parade – This Christmas parade is for kids and adults of all ages and it features Mr. and Mrs. Claus as well as local food vendors at its ending location.

  • Glitter, Glisten & Snow – The event’s centerpiece is its 31-foot Christmas tree, but other key features include snow slides, local entertainment and food, and arts and crafts vendors.

  • Carols in the Park – This year marks the event’s 29th anniversary! Carols in the Park features photos with Santa, Christmas carolers and more.

  • LEGOLAND Christmas Bricktacular – This LEGO extravaganza occurs several times throughout December and features many LEGO items such as a 30-foot Christmas tree.

  • 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland – This event features 72 tons of real snow, multiple snow slides to play on, and a Polar Express train.

  • Santa Cares – Partnering with Autism Speaks, Santa Cares is a family-friendly event for children across the spectrum of special needs. Photos with Santa will be available!

  • Light Up the Lakes – Boat Parade – Join the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce in lighting up Lake Howard with a boat parade featuring kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and more.

  • Lights in the Park – In addition to a tree lighting, this event will feature a Baynard house tour, a musical performance, and pictures with Santa.

  • Lakeland Christmas Parade – With the theme of “A Night at the North Pole,” this 3rd annual parade is put on by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland.
    • Starts at 7:00 p.m.

  • Make It Magical – Centennial Christmas at the Market Place – The entire family can come to this event filled with shopping, gift wrapping, cookie decorating and more!
    • Starts at 5:00 p.m.

  • Havendale Christmas Parade – In conjunction with Auburndale, this parade will start at Spring Lake Square and end at Havendale Blvd.
    • 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • Jingle Bell Rock Party – Hosted by the Polk County Parks and Recreation department, this party will feature amenities such as Santa’s workshop and a hot chocolate bar.
    • 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • The Great Christmas Light Adventure and Train – This event is put on by the Green Meadows Petting Farm and occurs on several days in the month of December. Come for a train ride through several light displays and a picture with Santa!

  • Lake Wales Christmas Parade – This year’s theme is “A Sporty Christmas” and will feature a variety of floats, cars, trucks and marching units.

  • Lake Alfred Christmas Parade – Join the city of Lake Alfred at this Christmas parade, which will begin at the corner of Cummings and Glencruiten and end at Gardner Park.
    • 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • Davenport Winter Festival – Attendees can expect a visit from Santa as well as cookie decorating, a variety of games, and local vendors.

  • Mulberry Christmas Parade – The city of Mulberry will be putting on its annual parade with the theme “Light Up the Night”!

  • Jingle Bell Classic – Participants at this holiday-themed race can choose between running a 5K or a 10K at Central Park in Winter Haven.

  • ISO Holiday Spectacular – The Imperial Symphony Orchestra will be playing sing-along Christmas carols during this Lakeland Genesis Concert Series.

  • Hanukkah Menorah Lighting – Hosted by Chabad Jewish Center, this menorah lighting is free and open to the public.

  • Snow Central 2017 – Featuring real snow for attendees to play in, this annual event will also have bounce houses for children as well as cookie decorating.

  • The TEN Tenors – Home for the Holidays – This all-male singing ensemble from Australia will be performing modern holiday hits as well as other festive favorites.

  • Holiday “Pack-a-Sack” Event – Want to give back this holiday season? Join the Agape Food Bank as they work to sort, pack, and distribute holiday meals to low income families in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties.

  • Magical Christmas Charity Ball – This all-ages event will feature a catered dinner, meet and greet with 15 characters (princesses, superheroes, etc.) and other entertainment!
