Ken Pierce Named Lifetime Trustee for National Church Residences

COLUMBUS, Ohio - After more than 35 years of service to the National Church Residences Board of Directors, Ken Pierce has been named a Lifetime Trustee for the organization.

Pierce first joined the National Church Residences Board of Directors in 1969 and has served two stints as board chairman – most recently from 2005 to 2007.

In addition, Pierce is an elder and former treasurer and deacon of Boulevard Presbyterian Church, one of National Church Residences’ founding churches.  Before his retirement in 1999, Pierce was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Dispatch Printing Company in Columbus.

A 1955 graduate of The Ohio State University, Pierce served as First Lieutenant in the United States Army in the Yukon Command headquarters in Alaska.

Pierce has also served on the boards of the Columbus Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Council for Ethics in Economics, Prevent Blindness Ohio and the Jazz Arts Group (Columbus).

He and his wife Judy have been married for 61 years. They have four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pierce is the second-ever Lifetime Trustee for National Church Residences, joining William Blaine.
