Michael Flowers is an Of Council attorney in the business department at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, a US law firm with more than 300 attorneys and core strengths in energy, business, employment, and litigation, operating 14 offices in six states.
Flowers joined the National Church Residences Board of Directors in February 2011.
Prior to joining Steptoe & Johnson, Flowers was Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at KBK Enterprises from 2008 to 2016 where he also served as the organization’s Columbus city executive, responsible for providing leadership in the development of new business opportunities and acquisitions. He also spent 12 years as a Partner at Bricker & Eckler LLP, as a member of the Business Law Department. He also spent eight years as a Partner at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP in the Business Law Department.
ABA Journal, a former chair of the 50,000-member ABA section of business law, a member of the Ohio Small Business Advisory Council, and a Board Member at Columbus State Community College, and a past chairman of the Board of Trustees for Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio.
Flowers has also been honored with a membership in the American Law Institute. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Bucknell University and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
