The best part about summertime is the opportunity to gather the community together. It’s a great time for arts and crafts, tasty local eats, and live music. These celebrations are the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, which we know is important to you.

With that in mind, we gathered a list of upcoming fairs and festivals near central Ohio that you can consult when looking for family activities.

Delaware

Sunbury Sizzle & Sounds Food and Music Festival

When – Saturday, August 19, 2017
Where – Sunbury Square, Delaware, Ohio
Why you should attend – For those who love food as much
as they love live music, this is a great summertime celebration.
This event which started in 2010 has seen up to 15,000 people 
on certain festival days.

Delaware County Fair

Why you should attend –A county tradition that celebrates local history, horse racing, and community is one that you don’t want to miss. The prestigious Little Brown Jug horse race as well as an exhibition that celebrates local art is a wonderful way to end the summer season.

Harvest Fair

When –Saturday, September 23, 2017

Why you should attend – Celebrate the harvest and support the Stratford Ecological Center. Bring the whole family and learn about the daily ins and outs of farming life.

Fairfield

2017 ArtWalk

When – Friday, July 21, 2017
Where – Downtown Lancaster, Ohio
Why you should attend – Explore downtown Lancaster and enjoy the wonderful displays of artwork of over 35 local and regional artists at this charming event.

Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival

Why you should attend – This festival hosts 25,000 visitors who come together to celebrate the work of about 200 artists in a variety of media while also enjoying tasty local treats and music.

Ohio State Fair

When – July 26 – August 6, 2017

All Ohio Balloon Fest & 5k Run/Walk
