Here at Water’s Edge of Bradenton, our team prides itself on filling our event calendar with activities that will be appreciated by our seniors. However, there are times when these significant events are happening just outside our community doors. An example of this is the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 21.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is hosted on an annual basis in more than 600 communities throughout the United States. Each year, the Alzheimer’s Association hosts these walks during the months of September and October with the goal of raising awareness and donations for Alzheimer’s disease care and research.
The walk closest to Water’s Edge of Bradenton will be held at Riverwalk Rossi Park, just 10 minutes from our facility. We are proud to say that we will be attending the October 21 event, which will feature a ceremony that begins at 9 a.m., with the walk itself starting at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to attending the walk, we are proud to be a sponsor for the event. As sponsors, we take pride in doing our part for this important cause and making an effort to combat Alzheimer’s disease.
To take our role a step further, our community has also formed an online team of walkers and donators. If you feel compelled to contribute to this wonderful cause, we encourage you to join our team or make a donation on behalf of one of our team members!
